The Dooby Shop School of Cosmetology Wants YOU!

Charlotte, NC — The Dooby Shop School of Cosmetology is seeking individuals that want to become licensed and professional stylists. Each month the school will host a student scholarship competition to assist with increasing enrollment.  Terese Swan Hutchison, owner and operator of the school and The Dooby Shop salons, says that she is very eager to begin training a new generation of stylists.

 

The first scholarship event was held January 21 and one talented individual won a scholarship valued at $5995. February 25 could be your chance to win a scholarship to Charlotte’s newest cosmetology school. 

 

The cosmetology  school is conveniently located at the corner of Beatties Ford Rd and LaSalle St  – very close to Uptown Charlotte, easy access to Interstates 77 and 85 and right on the public transportation route.  If the location isn’t a selling point for perspective students here are a few other reasons why now is the time to enroll in The Dooby Shop School of Cosmetology.

 

·         Tuition* is only $5995 for a full course – the lowest of all the schools in the area

The student competition will allow 10 perspective students the opportunity to win one full scholarship valued at $5995. To enter the competition there is no previous experience or earned credit hours needed you just need a strong desire to be a professional stylist.  Entrants will have two hours (one-hour prep time and one-hour styling time) to complete a shampoo, weave and style. Judging will be completed by Ms. Hutchison along with Kim Seals of K and S Consulting and Joshua Clifton, co-owner of Hatz Off Grooming Lounge. The deadline to register for the student completion is Friday, February 22, 2013. 

 

If you are not quite ready to enroll but want to see what the school has to offer there will also be an Open House that afternoon prior to the start of the completion. Perspective students can tour the facility, get a course outline and ask questions about tuition payment plans from 3pm to 5pm.

 

*Books and uniforms are an additional $895 and are not covered under the scholarship

1.       There are only 10 slots available

2.       Acceptance will be based on 1^st come 1^st serve basis

3.       There is a $25 registration fee

4.       Entrants must bring their own model and styling supplies

5.       All entries will receive $100 off the registration fee for admission
